APPLICANTS MUST:
- First, apply for
conference money through your district. If request for conference money
is denied, you can follow the steps below to apply for a teacher center
conference grant
- Obtain and complete
a teacher center conference grant application. Attach a copy of the
conference brochure/flier, application (including both your principal's
and superintendent's approvals located on
bottom of application) and submit to the Teacher Center.
- Be
willing to complete a conference summary report as well as share information
obtained via a workshop/meeting.
You must
include your district's notification that your conference request
was denied.
Reimbursement guidelines are listed on the conference grant application. |
GRANT INFORMATION:
- Grant
allocations may cover conference registration, materials and mileage.
- Grants
are available for up to $200.
- Conferences
must be curriculum related.
- Applicants
may receive only one grant per year.
- The
Center will not consider multiple applications to attend the same conference
from one district.
- Grants
must be used by the end of this school year (June 2009).
Grants are
offered throughout the school year and open to all Valley Stream teachers.
The Teacher Resource Center Conference Grant Committee judges all grants.
